Our Process: A Faster, Easier Way to Build

We use modular construction so you can enjoy your Sweaty Yeti faster, with less hassle. Here’s what to expect:

1. Pre-Construction

  • Site Evaluation & Prep – We assess your site virtually and will give recommendations to handle site preparation. We can also refer you to a local contractor to prepare your site for the Sweaty Yeti.
  • Permitting – While the Sweaty Yeti itself does not require a building permit per code, there may be permits or regulations in your local area for the unit or for electrical and plumbing work. Check with your homeowners association and city/ county government to see if there are any local requirements for your Sweaty Yeti.
  • Engineering – if required for your area, we may need to request engineering to meet a specific snow load for your Sweaty Yeti.

2. Site & Utilities

  • Site – Your sweaty yeti will sit on a flat, level pad of gravel or concrete. This work will be performed by a local contractor, which we can refer to you, if needed.
  • Utilities – Utility connections for water and electrical are needed for your Sweaty Yeti. We can help you find an approved contractor for any work needed. Be sure to follow local regulations.
  • Water – A standard garden hose will work just fine for shower and plunge options. A local plumber can add permanent water lines if you desire. In this case, we can prepare the Sweaty Yeti for hard-pipe connections – just ask your Sales agent.
  • Electrical – Your Sweaty Yeti will require a 50 amp or 60 amp 240 v connection. We can help you find an approved contractor for any work needed. Be sure to follow local regulations.

3. Delivery & Installation

  • Site Access – Ensure clear access for delivery of a unit, which may be with a truck and trailer, special equipment, or with a crane, depending on your site conditions. Our transport staff will assess the property and let you know what’s needed for installation.
  • Module Delivery & Inspection – Each Sweaty Yeti is checked for quality upon arrival.
  • Craning & Placement – Your Sweaty Yeti is placed on your gravel or concrete pad.
  • Utility Connections – Water and electrical are installed by your local contractor.

5. Final Steps

  • Enjoy Your Sweaty Yeti!
